Also got TWO compliments on my Bikini Kill tee (including one from a lady I was very much not expecting such a compliment from—never judge a book!). Yay small wins!

Hunnam does a bang up job as Gein—or at least as a murderous, misogynistic psychopath with religious mom issues. Seriously though, I think watching him do this is another reason I keep watching. It’s way out of his wheelhouse but he does it seamlessly.

#MonsterTheEdGeinStory is more about the influence he had over cinema and pop culture than it is about getting any truth out about his life, it seems. It’s disturbing, gross at times, and yet as a fan of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Psycho, I can’t stop watching.

I read something recently about how norovirus outbreaks are just as common in other spaces (planes, hotels, etc) but that we hear about them more on cruises bc they have to legally report all of them while others don’t. Don’t quote me on that—either way sounds miserable.

Windows & doors of ICE #Broadview are boarded up. So nobody can see in. No elected officials can get in to see people or assess the site, as is their right. I think what I'm saying is I would like Taylor to write a song as gutting as "Happiness" about the state of the world, but she's never pretended to be a songwriter focused on politics and the state of the world and that's probably okay. A LOT of artists don't actually talk about the world.

Yeah, I get that! I mean, there's some exceptions, some tracks off other albums I absolutely love (Out of the Woods, Shake It Off, Clara Bow, Love Story, loml) but those 2 albums. Idk. Maybe it's cause I'm a Sad Girl 😆

Basically saying I haven’t found a single track on the new one that I love and i’m not sure if it’s because there’s too much else going on to care enough, because it’s just okay-pop, just not my style, or whatever. But good on whoever is totally enjoying! Joy is in short supply these days.

I’ll probably never like a TS album more than Folklore and Evermore. I like a few tracks off some of the others, but those (especially in the midst of early pandemic days) are what drew me in. That and her whole “let me rerelease my own version of albums to stick it to the man.” Ah well.
