What do you MEAN the president audibly SHIT himself live on camera and they immediately cancelled the press conference and rushed everyone out of the room like it's a fire drill, and it happened two days ago, and I'm just hearing about it NOW?

This really fucked with me
Walz comparing the ICE raids to the Holocaust makes him going on that podcast and saying he hopes Tom Homan works with local law enforcement and does night raids so much more fucking horrifying, he's describing his desire for a quiet and orderly night Holocaust

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
The Minnesota governor is getting widespread criticism for comparing children dealing with immigration enforcement to Holocaust victim Anne Frank.

That CSWE statement is both-sides weak sauce. NASW won't say or do a thing that's useful. We need a new national org.

People at the Prairieland ICE Concentration Camp, located outside Dallas, Texas, are enduring freezing temperatures as the ICE refuses to activate the facilities’ heating systems. The temperature outside is a bone-chilling 13°F (8°F with wind chill), and the situation has persisted since 1/26/6

I've seen enough. Lower it to 14.
Activism matters. Public reaction matters. After the Kent State massacre Congress lowered the voting age from 21 to 18.

Joan Tronto's Caring Democracy remains an essential read during these times.

If people would like to re-dedicate themselves to contributing to the care necessary to sustain democracy, it's one of many frameworks they could adopt to build effective empathy.

At one point today, there were 283 Minnesota attorneys doing a training on how to file emergency habeas petitions to keep our neighbors from being shipped out of state and held indefinitely.

That would be the second largest law firm in the state. And that training was just put together this week.

This decision from the 3d Circuit is a travesty for Mahmoud and his family. If it sticks (which there are ways to challenge and delay), it will lead to ICE re-detaining him. And they may try to re-detain him now, even though that'd be illegal.
