Want to help me stay in the fight against the “it’s mild”narrative?

I’ll say what needs to be said, get as loud as hell, and fight for the change we need.

Not my best reading month, but I did manage to finish 17 books in March.

My favourite was A Place in the Sun by Jo Thomas, but also really enjoyed Flat Share by Beth O’Leary and Traitor’s Legacy by S J Parris.

Starting the new book by Jo Thomas, which thanks to the publisher and Net Galley I have been given an advanced review copy. Always love reading her books, & the creative uplifting stories she writes.

Should be a real treat this weekend. It’s published June 19

Starting book 17 in the Tempe Brennan Series, which I am reading along with a friend. It‘s always good to get back to this series, which I am hoping to get fully updated on this year.

If you watched Bones you need to read this series.

Starting book 5 in the Detective Katie Scott Series by Jennifer Chase.

Really enjoyed this series so far, both for the storylines, but also the characters that have been pulled together. So much so that this is my fifth book in the series within three months.

Started reading the latest book by Jonas Jonasson (of the Hundred Year Old Man fame).

Totally missed this one being published. Like his other books this is a quirky read with some interesting and unique characters.

The Hangman's Master by Elyse Hoffman

4/5 stars

This is a stunning, brutal and cleverly written WW2 story about a man finding his place in a brutal war. How fiercely do you love and how loyal are you to your believes?#BookSkyk#BookReviewe#TheWriteReadsd#Bookaholicic

I noticed a lot of new followers again. Is this another glut of people leaving Twitter following the Trump Presidency and the Musk moment.

Q: Why isn't @GwynneMP pushing for #CleanAir to reduce transmission of #Covid during the ongoing pandemic and to reduce the number of ppl developing #LongCovid #LongCovidKids?
A: Andrew supports the opinion that Covid is NOT predominantly transmitted through the airborne route.

My favourite read in Novembers for #12Booksof2024 was this latest book by Heather Morris.

This tells the story of women taken prisoner by the Japanese in World War II and the horrific time they had in the far East Prison camps. This one has all the feels.

Finally got my 2024 books read up to date 🥵 Need to be more systematic with it this year.

240 books read, which is a whopping 88 books less than the previous year. Shows the type of year 2024 was, let‘s hope 2025 is a better year.

No great stand out books in July, but these two were from my favourite series and my only 5 star books. Both excellent series.
