So Seiken Densetsu (literally meaning Legend of the Sacred Sword) came out 24 years ago today in Japan, kicking off the whole Mana series with just this first, simple, and epic game. It came out later that year in NA under the title of Final Fantasy Adventure. Secret of Mana for the SNES is part II.
I haven’t! I just pulled it up on Steam and w o w. Exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you for the suggestion!
Recently finished my current book (The Devils by Joe Abercrombie) and started playing Roadwarden before I picked up my next book. This text based choose your own adventure is such a treat; I would love more ambient text based games like this for between reads
