Russians are shocked by the surge of hatred toward Russia in Europe over the past four years. How could that be? Why?

It doesn’t occur to them that maybe invading a neighboring state has something to do with it.

Marge does appear to be the only Republican congressperson who is actually concerned for her constituents. I haven't seen any interest in any other reps in doing anything that helps their voters. It's simply not a topic of conversation for them. It's only all about Trump and what Trump wants.

IDK how anyone could continue to call themselves a journalist without asking this question every single day.

What did Tom Homan do with the $50K he took in a CAVA bag from undercover FBI agents?

Just keep asking this everyday. Its a big scandal they can't escape because Pam Bondi and her DOJ killed the investigation. They're cornered on this and the Epstein Files.

All discovery from DOJ due tomorrow, whether they like it or not. (They don't.)

“Under no circumstance shall the failure to reach agreement with respect to a protective order justify withholding prompt disclosure of discovery to defense counsel for review,” the judge wrote.

Phang: We know that there is a move by 99% of the Republicans locked step with Trump and countless still unidentified billionaires and politicians to keep this from moving forward. How do we know? Because Speaker Mike Johnson continues to refuse to swear in Arizona Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva…

“Do you support repealing Obamacare and what's your health care plan?

@SpeakerJohnson: *attacks the ACA and says Republicans are the party of wanting to fix health care🤔 even though they have no plan, sabotaged the ACA, just cut $1 trillion from health care*

Republicans are completely full of it on healthcare
And it becomes more obvious every time they talk about it.

There is zero chance that US companies continue to eat the tariffs. Smaller companies can't, and the big ones who afford to will place their stock holders over their customers. They've all been holding back, hoping TACO Trump will backtrack or come up with solutions, but they won't do this forever.

I know I tell this story all the time, BUT

Pete Hoekstra, Trump's current ambassador to Canada (& to Netherlands in Trump 1) told me when he was first being considered that he had no proof of naturalization. (He came to US when he was 12.)

He had been HPSCI chair for years before that. [corrected]

Wow, wow, wow. This has always been legally possible but the law has virtually never been enforced — and now this is the SECOND case I've heard of in the last month (first involving a person with a green card) of a noncitizen being charged for failure to carry their papers.

NEWS: ICE gave a Rogers Park man a $130 ticket for not having his papers on him. They rounded him up last week and eventually let him go, but not without a fine that some critics say is un-American. Trump admin enforcing little-used law

* 100s starved to death, including kids
* Congress bypassed to send more & more bombs to Israel
* US citizens murdered in the West Bank

I hope this ceasefire holds & I am glad the hostages are free, but this is Trump’s *actual record* so far.

The textual and historical evidence for limiting the president's power to fire executive officials is much stronger than the justices have suggested, he argued.

It's not the best strategy for the next 2-4 years (or rather, 2-4 years is medium term).

The best strategy for the short term is:
1) Get 3.5% of the population in the streets protesting
2) Peel off 4 Senators and 8 Congresspeople
jonmladd.bsky.social
This is an essential. "Democrats need to beat the Trumpists in elections that we ensure are free" is the best strategy for the next 2-4 years. But it is not a long-term strategy! The only possible long-term strategy is that someone else needs to defeat the Trumpists for control of the Repub Party.
