Londoner living in Puglia & enjoying a new Italian life immensely. Still plugged into UK politics & current affairs. Hate Brexit, the Tories & now Reform but very enthused by ‘Zackitivism’ & the Greens! It’s a long story but had to start Bluesky again.

This. Recommend catching this on iPlayer if you can

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Am all caught up with #lCelebrityTraitors. Love Alan Carr as a very stressed Traitor & am enjoying Tom Daley’s very camp but evil ‘side eyes’ at Kate Garraway. Sorry to see Paloma Faith be dispatched first though

You are bang on with this. Enough, we are sick of this #politicslive #bbc

The BBC continues its obnoxious tradition of inviting on to its flagship current affairs/news programmes, right-wing commentators who have their own TV shows on their own right-wing TV channels. If Alex Phillips has something to say, she can say it on Talk.

Calling English a 'rip-off degree' is one of the most blatant exhibitions of personal barbarism I've ever seen. You've demonstrated nothing but the poverty of your own mind.

Bad Enoch’s closing conference speech demonstrates she can read autocue competently but in 1-2-1 interviews or PMQ’s where she has to think quickly & speak off of the cuff she is abysmal. Everything else she has done this week has been laughable & is anyone buying she will enact these tax cuts?
pugliaprincess.bsky.social
She has done a car crash interview today with every news channel. She clearly hates doing them and is weirdly arrogant and incompetent at the same time. I think her Sky one with Beth Rigby is her best today but not in a good way

This was a really good listen. So much that I didn’t know. Saw Simple Minds at the MK Concert Bowl in mid-80’s and probably didn’t appreciate my surroundings enough back then

Yep, it is cheap and tacky plus I miss Jo Coburn

Jenrick could have visited Handsworth to listen to residents – he chose to pass through and make a judgement based on the colour of their skin. Instead of getting to know our nation of neighbours, he chose racism.

The Tories, Reform and Labour want to divide us.

The Greens say enough is enough.

Robert Jenrick complained of ‘not seeing another white face’ in part of Birmingham

Would need to see it from the back to more accurately assess if this could ever hit the high street

On yet another bad news day, I think this is lovely and inspiring

I saw every political party leader in the UK on the news talking about the attack on the Jewish community in Manchester except the one political party leader who is Jewish and from Manchester.

Maybe I missed something?

BBC accused of 'extraordinary' anti-Green bias after party say the Laura Kuenssberg Show scrapped a promised interview with @zackpolanski.bsky.social on Sunday.

Green sources say the show also refused to interview Polanski after he was elected as leader last month

This is amazing and has been achieved through brilliant and inspiring campaigning and without you being given a fair crack of the whip on the Sunday tv politics shows. Shame on the BBC again! Keep going Zack & Co!

Love this from Gary Neville

Gary Neville, "Brexit has had a devastating impact on this country"

"The messaging is getting dangerous"

"All these idiots out there spreading hate speech in any form, abuse in any form, we must stop promoting them"

"And get back to a country of love, peace and harmony"

"And become a team again"

I would happily return to a time when people understood it was not right to express their racist thoughts & beliefs. As a brown person I now realise that ignorance was bliss. The confidence that people now have to be openly racist and hateful is off the chart and shocking

Sad to hear that Jilly Cooper has died. Could not read any of her books now and could not get into the groove with the recent tv adaptation of her book Rivals, but back in the 80’s I loved her bonkbuster, Riders. It really was a thing back then

The public have voted that grifter Thomas Skinner off #strictly tonight. Good riddance but shame on the Beeb & producers for signing him in the first place. Professional dancer Amy deserves double bubble for this
pugliaprincess.bsky.social
Bad Enoch got very snappy with Laura Kuenssberg this morning having the temerity to ask where the 150,000 illegal migrants she will expel were going to go? Am no fan of Kuenssberg but it was a fair question. The exact details are apparently irrelevant right now. The Tories are toast, bring it on

So the Home Secretary wants to give the police additional powers to restrict our right to engage in repeated protests. She says it’s a strain on police resources. Just face up to the stupidity of proscribing Palestine Action supporters as terrorists & fewer police would need to be deployed
pugliaprincess.bsky.social
What a brilliant but depressing list! Quite incredible to remember all of this sleaze

The Russian drones operations reveal two things that Europeans seem unable to admit to themselves. The first is that they are unwilling/incapable of stopping these operations and seem helpless to keep them from multiplying. The second is that the US government doesnt care and will not help Europe.

We can all agree that the attack on the Synagogue in Manchester was terrorism

So why is setting a Mosque alight just 'arson' and a 'hate crime' and also not terrorism?
