I still don't get why we have to censor every "spicy" print for potential minors, and still no convention decided to ban those disgusting ahegao shirts for their visitors.

Following up on the new US duty changes, this is the change that is causing lots of trouble, screenshot from the CBP FAQ site: www.cbp.gov/trade/basic-...

Shipments valued under $800 did not incur duty before, but they do now! So every time US people order from other countries, there's a new fee:

Non-postal shipments will be subject to all applicable duties, taxes, and fees and must be filed using an appropriate entry type in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) by a party qualified to make entry - unless another entry type is appropriate.

Postal shipments will be subject to International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs, which can be assessed using one of two methods:

Ad valorem duty: A duty equal to the effective IEEPA tariff for the country of origin of the product, based on the value of the product.
Specific duty: A flat duty ranging from $80 per item to $200 per item, depending on the effective IEEPA tariff rate applicable to the country of origin of the product.
No entry will be prepared for such postal shipments by CBP, and the duties owed will be remitted by a carrier or other qualified party on a monthly basis.

A comic about making comics (the alt text took longer to write than the comic did to draw * I drew this a few years ago)

A 14 panel comic, a top tier of five panels shows a drawing of me, and in each of the subsequent panels the drawing of me gets simpler and simpler, with a cartoony drawing, a crude cartoon, then a stick man, then a smily face then a simple blob. Each time I'm saying "Hi"
Tier two, panel one, the smiley face is sad and saying "PJ! I can't draw!" "How can I make comics"
Panel 2, me as a simple cartoon "Oh that's ok, comics work..."
panel 3, me as a very crudely drawn figiure my head tilted at a funny angle and Im saying "No matter your skill level"
Panel 4 more simplistic drawing of me holding a ruler "As long as you can (sorta) draw a straight line " "(I use a ruler)"
Panel 5 even more simple drawing "And a bubble"
next (final) tier
Panel 1
A simple circle with two dots for eyes and a small line for a mouth and a balloon coming from his mouth saying "People can be quite forgiving about the artwork"
Panel 2 the round simple face meets a spikey simple face, spikey says "I'm not - I like GOOD artwork" me - "Oh"
Panel 3 me (still a smiley face, but straight line mouth ) I have two stick arms raised up with little stick fingers and I'm saying "...Sorry..."
Spike says "Bah"
Panel 4 (last panel) Me, slightly better drawn (but only just) "OK - not everyone is quite forgiving about art" "BUT I AM" "Good luck!"
