Team Flare are neat in that they're horrid villains with 0 qualms about their evil, and there's something in Sycamore's regret about not actively reaching out for Lysandre, but besides Shauna, these kids are nothing.

I read the article and I have to agree with it lol.
Im going to see if I can finish the video at work.
Whilst I still find the N moments Cool what I find most compelling is the arcs of Cheren and Bianca.
That's what the 'story' is to me, kids taking on the world and developing in the process.

A story and themes don't exist in a vacuum is important.
The related post about XY is interesting but doesnt change the rest.

I'm not sure what you think the themes of B/W are but they're fairly compelling journeys of self discovery at the very least.

I cannot remotely agree with this because the cast quality is night and day.

Unova is easily the most compellingly constructed reigon, with the franchise's best core cast.
The XY postgame stuff was peak but I find the friend group is bland and Kalos largely uninteresting.

XY’s postgame episode is generally seen as the best of the game’s story, but I feel most don’t realize how essential it is narrative.
