Sipekne’katik First Nation has issued a press release saying Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston, Attorney and Justice Minister General Scott Armstrong, and L’nu Affairs Minister Leah Martin are “banned as undesirables” from Sipekne’katik lands. The fine for trespassing is $50,000.

It’s my 1 year anniversary at work today. My end of probationary period review meeting is on Friday. I’m hoping it goes well…I know there is a lot I can improve on, but I also know that there are a lot of things I have learned and improved on.

Mmmh. Of course I forgot to take my blood pressure on Sunday. Not like the data is going to show me an entirely accurate picture for at least a couple of weeks. I feel like taking it for just one or two doesn’t give a very good read - especially when this time of year is super stressful anyway.

Most public libraries are culling their physical media because it doesn’t circulate. If you want libraries to hold something, you need to check it out. Public libraries can’t just be warehouses for physical media you might want someday. Use it or lose it.
When we talk about physical media, we are often only taking about personal collections but a big part of shunning the current digital ecosystem is supporting your local library. Not just for print books and periodicals but for movies, games and other medias too. Get. A. Library. Card.

My grand-aunt Sophia lived and worked in Halifax as a nurse when the Halifax Explosion occurred in 1917. She was 23 at the time, and injured by a flying piece of shrapnel which embedded into her arm. She was otherwise unharmed. The shrapnel was still in her arm when she passed in 1966 at age 71.

This isn't about Eurovision, it's about Israel getting away with committing genocide because THERE ARE NEVER ANY CONSEQUENCES. They should be untouchable by now.
