FUTURE SHOCK is very much "we had two shorts and strung them together into an anthology"; that said, it does have a maximum scenery-chewing Bill Paxton and Matt Reeves's first film credit, so it's not a total wash. #superscarymovies (even though the Reeves segment here ABSOLUTELY isn't horror)

NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE: the kind of insane guerrilla filmmaking feat that only comes around once in a blue moon. Possibly unreleasable, utterly brilliant; hats off to Johnson and McCarrol. Makes you want to pick up a camera and get filming as fast as possible. #BeyondFest

GOOD BOY: any film that has me simultaneously thinking of William Castle and Kiyoshi Kurosawa gets pretty high marks in my books. As good as a gimmick movie gets, though I am undeniably biased as a lifelong dog lover. Title is accurate, can confirm. #BeyondFest
