Not forgiveness, not passivity, but the absolute certainty that non-violence exposes violence in a way that makes justice inevitable.

Sexual predators are the main beneficiaries of sexual repression.

Dems need to campaign on ending the statute of limitations for sexual assault. The motivated reasoning is SO powerful to say "That didn't happen" for a victim and it gives gaslighting way too much power to just be like, "Convince them to stay quiet for this amount of time."

I've always been kinda wary of the thought that if I were alive in 1776 I probably woulda thought that the Adams brothers were douche bags and that violent revolution against Great Britain wasn't the right thing, even if the monarchy WAS wrong.

Shit like this is why.

Founding myths matter.

My one sadness with Series Acclimation Mil is that it sorta sinks my idea for a DS9 fanfic about Sisko showing up on the station after 30 years and confronting everyone's emotions regarding his absence to explore how that tension of his absence propelled them into the rest of their lives.

Obsidian games would be 10% more popular if they had 10x skill requirements and points per level. I'm sorry but 2 or 3 skill points per level is not fun. I know it's streamlined. I know it makes sense. I know it helps me the player hone in on how my character is improving.

But I want number go up.

The clear implication of the newest episode of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is that in-universe, the man Avery Brooks is a pivotal part of the evolution of human history entirely on his own merits as a musician and spoken word artist

Michael Bloomberg literally dumped hundreds of millions of dollars into ratfucking Joe Biden and splitting the centrist vote *and there were still enough people who wanted him to be president to outnumber the Bernie Sanders supporters*
Does nobody remember that primary fr? If anything the centrist vote was split between like five or six candidates while the leftists just had to choose whether to be misogynistic or not.

there's a common protest site that I can see from where I live and every time I see people out there with signs it makes the world feel a little bit less hostile

If McConnell dies and Beshear declares he's nominating a Democrat in defiance of the unconstitutional 2024 law requiring him to nominate a Republican I think at that point the presidential primary is over and he's the nominee, right?

TOW2 flopped because there was nothing revolutionary for veteran players (Pillars of Eternity/Deadfire/Pentiment) nor was there anything new and exciting for the mainstream crowd. KOTOR2 and Fallout New Vegas gave players the experience of learning a system and it stuck with them.

I really do not think that the “set fires” crew will ultimately be pleased with any implementation of a universal rule that if someone at a protest is acting in a way you feel might cause danger to you, you should assault them

The nazis raided and burned the first gender clinic. The Reagan revolution closed down most of the gender clinics in the US and left coverage uninsurable for decades. We've been here before. We'll get through just as we always have. With strength and resilience in community. They can't eradicate us.

I've always wondered why I agree with 90% of the the things leftists say and find close to 100% of them insufferable to listen to about politics with the exception of Robert Evans who I'd trust as a source over any major news org and I think this is really the reason why. This is deep in my bones.

Thinking more about the Washington Whistle Thing and like. Seattle has had ICE agents but if I heard whistles I don't think even I would necessarily think "Oh that's ICE rapid response."

The scale these other operations have to work at, this makes sense that whistles would be annoying not helpful.

the thing that makes me so angry about this is that "Tribalism" was the exact lens I was using in 2016 to say to anyone that was listening how society was turning a corner for a worse and eventually shit just got scary enough where I went "Maybe I'll shut up, it's scary and I need a tribe"
February 4, 2026 at 12:54 AM
I spent way too much of my life pretending this shit wasn't happening because I wanted to believe that everyone else had heard and internalized the same messages I did as a kid about how fucked up it is.

Life comes at you fast.
It's a dominance thing. You are expected to roll over, show your belly, and cease to be "annoying"; or just disappear off the planet.
