The idea that 'AI can speed up dev cycles' would require a premise that dev cycles are long because people are taking forever to make assets (so you could replace them with shoddy slop and it'd go faster), which you could only believe is true if you've never actually tried to make a video game

Didn't expect NPR to join the AI Propaganda machine, but here we are.

Shame that we're taking all of these points at face value instead of what this really reflects: An excuse to fire more people. LLMs are not good at what they do *now*. They're not going to get better in 3-4 years. It's a scam.
