Axion is laughing like a medieval king, head thrown back, holding two cards in his hand. Eridanus has laid his cards face down on the table, and leans forward, utterly bemused at everyone else's gameplay. Nova has flicked her two cards in triumph, leaning over the table with an air of victory. A drawing of Vesta and Vex, two male demons with long dark hair that blends in together between them. Vesta tilts his head with a rueful smile towards the other, almost as though he's going in for a kiss, with one hand reaching up to his face, but within it are two graphic golden lines, mirroring the border of the piece, as though he's driving a blade into Vex's heart. Vex grins back at him, at ease, as though willing him to come closer. The background is notably darker on Vex's side of the piece. A drawing of Fenris, Hawke, and Anders from Dragon Age 2. They're running from something, weapons drawn, with Anders leading the way urgently, and Fenris looking back behind them with concern.

a two page spread from the comic I'm working on at the moment, featuring a kind of x-ray view of Vex's chest, focusing on his lungs, which have been hit with Wild magic, depicted in root-like strands of light through his lungs and leading up to his throat. His black armour and feather mantle make up the rest of the page, and strands of his dark curls are blown across them. The bottom half of his face is visible, the lower two sets of his three pairs of eyes are open and pitch black, and his teeth are gritted in pain.

Enci has long horns covered in purple eyes, masses of dark curly hair, and wears lavish black and gold noble attire dotted with amethysts, many layers of luxurious ruffled fabric visible beneath a long tailored coat, topped off with some pieces of ceremonial armour, a gilded sword on a gilded belt, and golden chains and buttons across it all. Vesta has his long sleek hair tied up in a high ponytail that swings elegantly as he moves, one of his many hands resting upon Enci's before him, the others held behind his back or sweeping around him gracefully, one just about brushing the sheath of Enci's sword, his tail curled in an arc behind him, and he wears an outfit consisting of swathes of shimmering draped fabric, embroidered black eye motifs, subtle dark leather armour pieces, boots and gloves with sharp metal detailing, and black feathers. The piece is framed by an intricate carved pillar and a heavy gold embroidered curtain tied to one side.

For graphic novels, especially adult genre fiction, it's incredibly helpful to review it online, talk about it, recommend it to a friend—adult fiction in the graphic novel space is difficult to place, and nothing convinces readers that they'll like a book more than the personal testimonial.

Where do we go from here?
Thoughts about “AI” Yes it’s: The slop The theft The brainrot The loss of work The crumbling of creator rights The destroying of the environment and infrastructure But it's also the destroying of trust in anything that you’re not seeing with your own eyes right in front of you. Wonder now turned to the narrowing of eyes in immediate scepticism seeing something magical. Questioning the realness of everything from a stilted written apology to profound works by students in school. It feels like a slow poison to creativity and humanity at large.
