This is your annual reminder that should you buy a box of Celebrations but have no-one to eat the Bounty bars, I will take on this delicious burden. For I am a warrior* in their name, and shall accept my terrible fate.

*I take psychic damange each time someone says they are rubbish.

Tomorrow I'll run a creative writing workshop for the always lovely philosophy undergrads at Nottingham.

I think this is my fourth year running the workshop and it is always a delight!

Liverpool, if you could just stop raining for about 20 mins so I'd get home unsoaked that would be great.

Me in my twenties: going outside. Absurd and ridiculous.

Me in my thirties: having an absolute blast reading a book about the English civil war. In the distance you hear me shouting "Cromwell! Honestly!" It is only 9 pm.

I'm genuinely amazed by the response to my post below about Cavendish. For anyone interested, I'm currently reading an excellent biography about her called Pure Wit. It's by Francesca Peacock.
I'm teaching Margaret Cavendish today and it is great fun being able to talk about an author's epistemology, metaphysics, AND her fiction in the very same seminar.

Last night me and my partner watched the 2025 version of War of the Worlds.

My god it was bad. I laughed so much at said badness that I've added it to my list of so bad it's good movies which include gems such as Zombeavers and Sharknado.

A little 🦀 update.
Hi all, still sending out emails re the below. Keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of weeks!
GOOD LORD, sorry, and hello everyone.

Illness, and a bit more illness, an international move, a new job. Jesus. I can't respond to DMs yet because of a UK ID rule.

I will be emailing folks about issues 1 and 2 over the next week to see if they are still interested in being included.

I think I've trapped a nerve in my back. Is there anyway to make it go away bar waiting it out with painkillers? I've tried all sorts of stretches to no avail.
