I'm Rob, I write a newsletter called Radical History (radicalhistory.substack.com), give talks on the same here in Portland, OR, and am the co-host of Dungeon Master of None, a TTRPG podcast about getting started running/playing in games (not an AP). In my day job I'm a lifeguard, which rules IMO.

I doubt this will have even a fraction of the impact that one ill-advised tweet from a leftist college student will have but it sure is interesting to read what these little Eichmanns say when they think it's safe

you know what WOULD have Portland on fire?

Zenith Energy's so-called 'renewable' fuels.

(like literally the rivers themselves on fire)

I don't think it's antisemitic to make fun of people claiming gumbo is an Israeli food but I guess I am willing to admit that there are advanced forms of bigotry with which I am unfamiliar

Railguns powered by explosive flug generators, from an LNLL-LANL program:
ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/106...
2.7 kg of HE was used to deliver up to 2 MA of current.
The next step was to develop a hybrid railgun which was both strip generator and coaxial railgun with an annular projectile.

i’m running for president in 2028, this is my platform:

- no more spam texts and calls
- smaller cars with weaker headlights
- imprison every person in ice and the trump administration on a remote island for a thousand years

Corn Diggers (1967-circa 1986): A corn-based cracker/chip hybrid from Nabisco, meant to taste like hot buttered corn, and shaped like little shovels/scoops for eating with dip.
A greenish-yellow box, with the Nabisco logo in the top left corner. On the box below the name "corn diggers snacks" is a picture of a chunky white dip in a red bowl, with two shovel-shaped corn chips stuck in it. To the right is a pile of yellow, shovel-shaped corn chips Two men in collared shirts and sweaters sit on the sideline of a football game. One holds up a bag of corn diggers, the other a jar of Planters cheez balls

My games have produced a lot of funny quips but our last session included a major miscommunication that resulted in a combat and this might be the best bit yet

Today is World Homeless Day, and after years reporting on this crisis, I'll just say: homelessness is neither inevitable nor intractable. It's the result of choices—political, economic, moral—that can be unmade.

And this: how we treat the unhoused is a bellwether for the violence we will tolerate.

One of the reasons they're having trouble concocting a Left Wing Terrorism epidemic is basically nobody in this country has ever met a left wing person. You might as well say we're being invaded by the smurfs
