Since taking over as host, I IMMEDIATELY started mythologizing the One Shot Studio

Each recording, during intros, guests riff with me about what the studio is like. EVERYTHING becomes canon.

As we upload episodes to YouTube, @cowboypunkcolt.bsky.social has brought TONS of these anomalies to life

Orwell 2+2=5 is probably the most important film I've seen in a while.

Please go see it but know that it will be a very uncomfortable and upsetting time for many. (Understatement)

I want to see it so badly.

"It belongs in a museum!"

"It's not a talent to make low engagement streams" is so dystopian to me. The conversation about lurkers in streams counting towards viewer counts instead is not new.

Lurkers should count.

This is just further monopolizing our attention in ways that I don't see as valuable.

Yeah definitely avoiding Medium and Substack specifically. I think Patreon may be the way to go but I'm curious about kofi
ragepandapajamas.bsky.social
Ok, I need some advice. What seems to be the better way to get blog posts to people? I'm thinking I may need to take down my website (switching a lot over to my Carrd instead) so I need a new home for my blog and older reviews.

Patreon? Kofi? (would like the option for subs, not required)

I have to believe that people still care about human creativity, and human made wonders.

I refuse to accept the nihilism being peddled by those who say AI is inevitable. It's a choice.

We can choose to be better.

Heyyyy Austin, I'll be at Lone Star Zine Fest this weekend!

If you're in Austin come out and say hi. It's free, family-friendly, they got zine-making workshops, the works.
the Lone Star Zine Fest poster, which reads
"The 2025 Lone Star Zine Fest
Oct. 11 & 12th at Blue Genie
6100 Airport Boulevard
Austin, TX
LoneStarZineFest.org"

The art is an old-fashioned computer desk. The computer and monitor have post-its that read
"12-6 PM"
"Free!"
"All ages!"
"100+ vendors"
"Comics jam"
"door prizes"
"zine making" The Lone Star Zine Fest layout. Bannerless Games is at table 85, just to the left of the entrance.

My fan cover for Montgomery LaMontgommery's upcoming book, finally spotlighting the most upstanding gentleman in all of Gath. THANK YOU for Wealwell @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social, @dimension20.bsky.social. He is everything I've ever wanted - nay, needed - and more.

A faux book cover cartoony illustration in brown and teal tones. It shows the Cloudward Ho! cast in a heroic tableau: in the background, Olethra is happily steering the MechLeod, and Daisuke is up on a cliff, aiming a rifle towards centre frame; closer to the viewer are Van on the left, blowing her bosun whistle with tentacles a-tentacling, and Maxwell Gotch on the right, looking a bit unsure about what's happening; closer still are Monty on the left, holding his notebook and looking sagely off-frame, and Marya on the right, holding a huge wrench close to her chest and staring forlornly off-camera. And in the centre and the foreground, looking directly at the viewer, is the lithe, handsome, elegantly poised figure of Wealwell Gotch, hair golden, moustache curled, dressed in a fine teal suit and resting his hand on a katana. The top reads "Montgomery LaMontgommery", and the bottom "Where There's A Weal There's A Well".
The original designs for the Cloudward Ho! cast are by the wonderful Cait May.

I can't help but appreciate the color coordination of that cup/straw with the set.

We've been around nearly ten years (which is like an eternity in fandom time), so we thought it might be fun to do a little #ThrowbackThursday to some of our faves. Like Julia's snarky dive into Daenerys Targaryan's interminable Meereen storyline.
