@northloopneighbors.com has done a fantastic job turning giving this opportunity more eyes!
New group takes up the torch, pushing to remove highway loop north of downtown Kansas City
Though it would be years away, removing the North Loop could reconnect downtown neighborhoods and open up acres of land for development, organizers say.

Directly most impacted by this decision will be immigrants, Black and brown workers, and the economically insecure. @seiulocal1.bsky.social workers ride this bus to their janitorial work, including at city hall.

Yesterday, my neighborhood signed a letter with over a dozen other community organizations across the Northeast, downtown, and the Westside urging our city leaders to do everything it can to protect KCATA’s 11 Line, working-people, and union jobs.

You can read it in Spanish and English below.

The vast majority of presidential candidates started off somewhere locally.

City councils, county commissions, and more oftentimes have a greater impact on your daily life than what comes out of DC.

If you think you're not qualified, take a moment to look at who's in the WH.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.
