since denver launched its e-bike rebate program - the have sold 10,000 e-bikes and reduced an estimated 1,000,000 car trips - replacing millions of VMTs and reducing air pollution

- raised taxes on clean energy with one big beautiful bill

- is stopping or making clean energy projects harder to be built

- is raising prices on materials with tariffs

- all while AI is spiking electricity demand

They are stopping supply while demand goes up

i recently got a great deal on a barely used folding ebike and i have to say it has revolutionized my train travel. i can get from my front door to the amtrak station in a little less than 5 minutes!!!

The bottom line is this: crashes like this don't just happen. They're the result of a system that prioritizes speed over safety. When that happens #pedestrians often pay the price.

But it doesn't have to be this way. Traffic violence is a policy choice. We can choose a better path. (6/6)

Missouri needs a proactive strategy. One place to start would be a statewide active transportation plan.

East 23rd Street is a known dangerous corridor. @bikewalkkc.bsky.social noted this when helping the city make a Transportation for All plan.

Earlier this year, MoDOT asked for feedback on proposed improvements along the stretch that includes this intersection. (4/6)
