You can get very basic ones on the NHS but they're often badly fitted and the wait times for assessment are looooooooong. If you want a properly fitted one or need a motorised one, you're on the hook for thousands :(

Yeah, luckily walking sticks are one of the cheaper mobility aids out there so I could be in a much stickier position! Wheelchair users get maaaassively fucked over on pricing, it's unreal

(And when i say ' a little bit eh', I mean it's beginning to bend and get pretty loose as a foldable one, so it's going to need replaced regardless - I can either replace it every few months with another cheapy, or get a pricier one that will last properly)

It's to look (and feel) powerful--something many young American women crave right now. And it's working.

Looking into getting a Proper Walking Stick since my cheapy one is starting to get a little bit eh, and the plain coloured ones from cool crutches are like 15+ quid cheaper than the cool patterned ones... maybe I just get the plain colour and cover it in stickers???

They've only been in the UK for about a year and I've not tried them until now and oooohhhhh

They are expensive though thanks to the sugar tax so hopefully it'll help me ration 😂
