There's no "regular politics" anymore because you can no longer maintain the idea that we all agree on common goals but we only differ about the means of getting there or whatever. I only read through the prologue but it's a pretty stark contrast in tone. This one opens with Su Lin arriving early to help out her replacement (replaced because she's White and Hot) with the filing system at the detective agency

I picked up The Paper Bark Tree Mystery, also by Ovidia Yu. Turns out this is the third novel; I read the 4th one last time.

I didn't expect there to be such big time skips between books! It seems like this one is ~1938, but checking the date of Operation Jawyick in book 4 it was 1943!

Day 724! I realzied that I hadn't been doing the dedicated isometric squats lately, usually just opting for the squats from the running courses, so I jchanged that up tonight.
