A Newcastle United realist. Make the occasional excellent post. Funnier than anyone gives me credit for. Gamer / wrestling fan / basic bitch nerd. I'll piss you off at some point because I have opinions.

Yeah I'd have him in that bracket if he were playing more regularly. Certainly he's on low wages for someone who's essentially the first in line to step in for any of our first choice central midfielders. Still only 19 though.

"I ain't got no problem or nuffink. It's that fing wot he did wot caused all the 'assle."

That sort of thing.

Anyone who could speak English properly would want to top themselves.

As I do, frequently.

Migrants will need A-level standard English to work in UK

He's a frustrated goalkeeper.
razorsgc.bsky.social
How did they extract him? He had a release clause and it still took them bloody ages 😂

Gary would struggle to outsmart a satsuma.

Though Thiaw is our only summer signing who hasn't absolutely rinsed us in terms of their contract. Get Andy Howe as far away from these negotiations as possible.

Fully expecting people to jump to the defence of Woltemade.

It's not a criticism of him or how he's started. I realise if he continues in the same way, the argument will be he's worth it.

But paying him more than £130k a week with only one season of top flight football experience is insane.

Based on this list...

Underpaid:
- Lewis Hall
- Tino Livramento
- Jacob Murphy

Overpaid:
- Nick Woltemade
- Anthony Elanga
- Yoane Wissa
- Aaron Ramsdale
- Jacob Ramsey

Thank fuck we've now got a CEO and Sporting Director because Andy Howe would bankrupt us. What a summer of spunking money. #nufc

The flaw in this logic, of course, being that those "angry" voters suffered under 14 years of Conservative rule and Reform are just an even more extreme version of them.

The belief that their lives will improve by putting "their side" back in charge involves a terminal lack of critical thinking.
razorsgc.bsky.social
I don't really see it as "in-fighting" when Labour and the Greens clearly represent such different offerings at the moment 🤷🏼‍♂️
razorsgc.bsky.social
Well that doesn't make sense to me and it's not what I'll be doing.

"Vote for a centrist party because there's no unified left" rather than vote for a party on the left just isn't what I'll be doing.

Labour have 4 years to change my mind but if Keir remains determined to be Tory-lite then 👎
razorsgc.bsky.social
And that remains Labour's mistake, in my opinion.

How can the left / progressive voters galvanise around Labour when to many that's no longer what Labour represents?
razorsgc.bsky.social
Reform still only have 5 MPs.

Far too much focus put on polling, four years away from an election.

How many "sensible" people who used to vote Tory are really going to go all-out batshit and vote Reform?
razorsgc.bsky.social
Greens will attack Labour because Labour are supposedly left-wing yet they are barely representing the left at all.

Labour should, in theory, be attacking the right.

If Labour were what I believe Labour should be, the Greens wouldn't need to spend their time pointing out how much they're not.
razorsgc.bsky.social
I guess I'm debating whether Labour is even "the left" anymore.

They spend so much time pandering to the right.
razorsgc.bsky.social
It's their attempt to stop customers complaining because they know the "issue" that was encountered was the driver couldn't be arsed.
razorsgc.bsky.social
Ekitike has overtaken
razorsgc.bsky.social
This is worth highlighting, too.

People who think if you don't vote Labour, you're helping Reform...

Without knowing which constituency someone is in, you've no idea which vote is best placed to defeat the right-wing.
razorsgc.bsky.social
You've no idea which constituency I'm in.

I can promise you if I voted Labour it would not help keep Reform out.

Even if it did, Labour won the last election on the platform of "We're not the Tories". They can't forever rely on "We're not quite as bad as the other guys."
razorsgc.bsky.social
You only have to look at how many diehard Labour supporters are now choosing to attack the Greens rather than the Tories or Reform to see how much the party and its core voter base has lurched to the right.

Sad to see.
razorsgc.bsky.social
Wow, Labour supporters attacking the Greens, as if that is the party which should be attracting their anger 🙄

Demonstrates perfectly how far the Labour base has shifted to the right.
razorsgc.bsky.social
Labour supporters ignoring how much support they've lost since the last election, due to their decisions on welfare and moving further to the right on immigration, is what will ensure they're unelectable at the next one.

Steve thinks he's part of the solution but he actually epitomises the problem.
stevenphillips7.bsky.social
If you can't see the change, and the difference from the Tory years, then by all means take your vote elsewhere. We'll stay and fight off Reform without you.
