The only time in USL 1 history that the boot winner didn’t make the playoffs was in 2020 when Emiliano Terzaghi won it, but the playoffs were shortened to two teams due to COVID.

That @richmondkickers.bsky.social team still finished fourth and would’ve made the playoffs in a normal year.

This sucks so hard.

MLS is using generative AI to write match recaps. Writers used to get paid freelance rates to do that. Hssssss.

When we had it happen in 2021, all stats were erased and the match was fully replayed. I think there was a provision that cards still counted, but that would’ve been the only stat if so.

With @unionomaha.bsky.social drawing, 2nd is now out of reach and Chattanooga is one point away from securing top 4. 3 points from Spokane puts 3rd out of reach. Omaha would still be alive for 4th even with a Naples win, but it’d be on life support.

And it’s also worth noting that it is generally the teams I dislike. I don’t have that kind of spite towards the supporters of any of the teams (yet). Most of the time I’m happy to banter, watch a match, then I’d gladly sit and have a drink with them after.

I can agree with both points. Isn’t it so annoying when someone just wins over and over and you can’t figure them out, then they have a moment of…call it transition…and you finally beat them, but you realize they still have large win and trophy lead over you…😉😂 (sorry…couldn’t resist!)

I will admit that the broadcast doesn't do justice to their reported attendance numbers. 2,000+ in their last two home matches (per FotMob), but it doesn't look like it when I watch. And not the same as Omaha looking sparse because of the larger venue.
