That’s Soderbergh’s favorite one.

I had the pleasure of interviewing The Walking Dead showrunner and special effects legend Greg Nicotero for @heritageauctions upcoming sale. The most fun interview I ever had - especially hearing about how he staged the bloody Crazy-88s scene in Kill Bill.

Very proud to have my research and work on Robert De Niro mentioned in @isaacbutler.bsky.social amazing piece on Daniel Day-Lewis.

I finally got a chance to write one of my dream assignments, an in depth evaluation of Daniel Day-Lewis, an actor whose achievements and methods cast a long shadow over the field, and whose work is often misunderstood.

Only One Performer Has Won Three Best Actor Oscars. Is It Fair That He’s Also a Joke?
He might be the greatest actor of all time—and the most misunderstood.

One of the great honors of my life has been helping write the catalog for the legendary Guillermo del Toro’s Bleak House Collection on sale today @heritageauctions. It was a fascinating study of the objects and inspirations behind one of cinemas singular voices! Follow along at ha.com

On September 20, 1977, The Fonz jumped a shark on “Happy Days,” immortalizing the phrase “jumping the shark.”

The thing is pretty great - or anything he did with Carpenter!

I’m a big fan of both. I think gilded age is getting better now that there’s a bit more conflict.
Also - Jon Stewart’s extended conversation about the show with Tony Gilroy and historian Mike Duncan is excellent! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

I love this

my mom taught me there's two kinds of businesses: hot dog stands and art galleries

- hot dog stands protect territory and keep competition off their turf
- art galleries benefit from more adjacent art galleries, cluster together to amplify reach/support

youre an art gallery, not a hot dog stand

Play and discuss as if you were friends trying to get to know each other better, rather than as if you were rival squawking merchants trying to sell competing goods in a marketplace. The world is full of friends and potential friends, and it's much lonelier and more frightening when it isn't.

Working on my final chapter this weekend. Is this literal, metaphorical or a little of both?

Love how The Walking Dead employs so many actors from The Wire, whereas Fear the Walkjng Dead draws from the pool of Deadwood actors.

I’ll definitely check it out based on this recommendation!!

Love The Gilded Age, but what if they did an in-character aftershow where the characters just complain about each other? Like The Valley’s aftershow but with corsets.
