Unfortunately the Palestinian solidarity movement is heavily dominated by individuals and groups who are at best "tactical" allies who are motivated more by anti Israel and/or general anti-west sentiments. Using Palestinian lives and deaths as tools. And this isn't just a NA issue.
Parts of the Palestinian activist movement in the US have unfortunately been overtaken by campist politics that have utilized Palestine for broader ideological projects. This is the co-founder of Palestine Action US. (1)
