Wow! Great thread Niall, delivered as I’m looking at SOTU. How will Pearse’s “blood sacrifice” be made to allow for birth? If the English govt hadn’t executed the “rebels”, against advice how would things have gone? Sadly I have only g/grandparents in this, tho 1 was Fenian.

Incredible that Robbie Gibb - most influential person on BBC board by many accounts and from journalists I speak in BBC - was involved in setting up GB News.

Nice to see Bannon finally admit what the rest of us already knew — he’s not delusional, he’s self-aware. When a man confesses he’ll go to prison if democracy survives, maybe we should take his word for it and make sure that democracy does.

That desperation had other serious consequences. The EU offered the UK an unconditional 12 month extension to the transition period so we could deal with COVID. It was rejected and Brexit remained the priority. This was a significant reason why the first months of the pandemic were a fiasco.

Absolutely, if an officer of the court is being dishonest then they should be disbarred, as should happen with any lawyer
So Why can't those lawyers be dis-barred. As officers of the court are they not obligated to being truthful and honest to the best of their abilities.? Does a lawyer swear to protect and defend the constitution and Laws of the Land? I don't understand why they can't be held accountable. We would

Carole Cadwalladr was right and we’d be in a better world if more people had listened.
This tweet has been doing the rounds on Twitter now that Nathan Gill has pleaded guilty.

I disagree.
RT if you agree it's in the public interest for Reform to explain about their links to Russian money and bribery!

Fun fact: Farage's girlfriend's parent didn't pay for his house, they live in a £300k flat in Strasbourg. So who bought a £885k house for Farage in cash and why have lügenpresse let this story drop⁉️

this is an extraordinary canary in the coal mine
