#PortfolioDay apparently...
Not a lot done over the last years, except for the work for @newedgeswordmag.bsky.social (I can't WAIT to show you the latest!)
Oh, and some for a poetry collection (can't WAIT etc), and these, based on old family photos...

Any leads or signal boost?...
WELL. Fate has intervened in a fun new way. We have less than two months to move out of our moldy Quebec rental to Ontario to submit this application or leave the country!

We can do it. All we need is a boost. Thank you for protecting a couple of trans artists on our way to a stable life! 💚
Feeling very grateful for all the support on our GFM today-Az is editing the latest episode of the Last Threshold & like all of 'em it's a doozy.

If you'd like to join the fray for two trans gays as we battle Mouldlords & fight to retain status in Canada check out our GFM:

...It really depends on what mood I'm in... Sometimes it's "A Day in the Life", it never is "Yellow Submarine", and today it is "Eleanor Rigby".

This is nice! Belfast has a trans skaters & boarders group ("reclaiming space that's not clubs and pubs"). The black tea they brought was very welcome!...

I once landed onto German public broadcaster ARD while channel flipping and there was Udo Kier on daytime TV making seafood linguine

They looked amazing

Brandy has a fetish for my running shoes!. Could it be that my sweaty feet smell like catnip?...

Just short of 12k today, in an hour's run...
It's true what they say: after 10K it doesn't get much worse. I do love how running unlocks different parts of the city.

A movie that takes place where you're from....

I thoroughly disliked it, for its stereotype rendering of the northern Dutch farmer - as played by an actor from the south (!)...

A blog post I'm still pretty chuffed with: was Mary Shelley's model for #Frankenstein an Italian strongman and explorer, #Belzoni?
Hard to prove, but it does line up neatly!
Frankenstein’s Monster, the Great Belzoni
“I resolved, contrary to my first intention, to make the being of a gigantic stature; that is to say, about eight feet in height, and proportionately large.” In 1818 Mary Shelley, daughter of the p…

One of the drawbacks of falling out with someone is that it's bye-bye to the DVDs you lent them... (I'd wanted to watch the Hutchinson "Wuthering Heights", but it'll have to be the one with Tom Hardy then)...

Lovely afternoon at Templemore Bath, playing one of the 30 min slots for punters at the CS Lewis Festival craft fair...
I bought some early Christmas presents, hung out with pals and enjoyed their music too!

I was to the library a ways up the Greenway, where there was storytelling with harp accompaniment. It was really nice, and possibly useful for future performances of my own (notes were taken).

Loving the fight @argonautbooks.bsky.social are taking to @waterstones.bsky.social who have quietly built a monopoly on our high streets that is undermining indie bookstores - the specialists who are the last bastion of the mid list and debut authors. Support your local community not a hedge fund.
It’s been a pretty busy couple of days all things considered! Our priority now is to meet with civic leaders to discuss how this affects our business.

We will also be calling for public consultations with both the indie businesses and the wider community of Leith regarding future Newkirkgate plans.

This mural has gone up in Kingston, ostensibly for Christmas but AI has ensured it's actually to celebrate the return of our dark lord Cthulhu
