Six out of eight of the largest mass-movement protests in US history have happened since 2017. You wouldn't know this from most media reporting, and you sure af wouldn't know this from the way either major party has reacted.

It was inevitable that, without needed change and reform, the War on Terror would swing back to America

It’s the march of capitalism and its reliance on hidden and then overt authoritarianism. We can see where this is going by looking at what we did to others, and so we must band together with them

For my part I think we don't like losing things, and we live in an era permeated by loss or the threat of it (loss of a habitable environment on the grand scale; of security on an individual level). Under these conditions maybe it's natural for people to become more guarded and insular

Thanks!
Bifo Berardi talks about this a bit in Quit Everything: cultural production has accelerated beyond our ability to keep up, and so social cohesion is ripping apart faster than we can mend it

Bray is a historian at Rutgers who received death threats after landing on Turning Points USA's Professor Watchlist. As a result, he announced he was moving to Europe. And then this happened.

This kind of harassment and abuse of scholars is Charlie Kirk's legacy and it's only getting worse.

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’
