Bemused yet delighted to be given this opportunity. Won't you be in for a treat?
(Frankly, the answer is 'probably not', but it should at least be, what's the word? ...diverting).
Looking forward to, provisionally, the end of January.

A hearty congratulations to @rhys.newydd.net who has won their very own Blender next year!

The first tune we ever played was Legs by The Art Of Noise (attached below) - which we intended to use as a bed after the initial fanfare, but clammed up due to fright instead.

Marginally after our time, I think: an attempt to retool My Favourite Things in a manner that almost, but doesn't quite, mention any higher power. Very badly transcribed here hymn.fandom.com/wiki/Autumn_...

I'm happy to hear a case for the words (only the words I'm afraid) of Autumn Days, especially as it mentions mid-air refuelling, something I genuinely didn't know could be done successfully!

I'm that rare beast, a Sydney Carter fan (I'll even stand up for Lord of the Dance). Simple yet never simplistic: my vicar suggests the last verse, 'You are older than the world can be/You are younger than the life in me' encapsulates the nature of God better than many more lauded hymnwriters do...

The #teletext recovery computer is back online, running through a tape from (a friend of) @rhys.newydd.net.

Testing video/audio capture in #OBS alongside VBI capture using vhs-teletext. No rare ads yet, though.

The frame drop messages are spurious: capture doesn't seem to be adversely affected.
A square LCD PC monitor (showing a Linux Mint desktop with OBS, a terminal window, and task manager open), keyboard and trackpad, video recorder, and slim PC, nestled in with various ornaments and an old printer being used as a shelf. A Sonic The Hedgehog figure is holding an Xbox-style gamepad upside down, next to a ceramic ornament of a cottage.

You're absolutely more than welcome. Thanks to you for not mentioning that the reference to AD 73 actually appeared in your chat with Sioned Wiliam, which I also read recently. Oops :)

You squarely have Justin and Ben, in order, to blame and/or thank for me rediscovering radio presenting, and this is an expectedly excellent chat, with revelations about both (Justin's dad's associations with Cymru-psych, Ben's means of discovering Frank Sidebottom...) Thanks, both!

Precisely 912 minutes left to vote for your favourite @noiseboxradio.com Anthems, so if you fancy seeing what typifies the station, or just want to show appreciation for, ooh I don't know, some Welsh-language pop (there are 2½ choices in the list!) go to noiseboxradio.com/anthems to choose. Thanks 📻

After 0.23 glorious years it's the end of the current series tonight, and I'll be sampling the finest Celtic-land choices from the 2025 @noiseboxradio.com Anthems poll, in a blatant attempt to swing the vote towards Sosej, Bîns a Chips by Rocyn. Tune in at 10pm and hear me attempt to persuade you.

It's a repeat of Monday's penultimate show so soon you'll be free of me promoting it. The usual genuinely eclectic mix of music from Celtic parts of the world, from now till 12 on @noiseboxradio.com

"AI Free" needs to become almost like a brand, a logo, a recognisable high watermark seal of quality. Companies should be clambering over one another to attain this prestigious accreditation. Companies that have gone all-in on AI will have to bear the cost of having it removed, like asbestos.

Days after a Grok antisemitism scandal rocked X, tech billionaire Elon Musk’s AI chatbot has introduced two animated characters that try to pressure users into sexually explicit or violent conversations.
Musk's Grok 'companions' include a flirty anime character and an anti-religion panda
NBC News tested Grok’s new AI “companions,” which seem designed to shock and entertain users.

Thanks. Another tip is that if you read anything about education from a .uk source it's overwhelmingly likely to be talking about England only, as education policy has been devolved to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. So it'll concern a significant amount of the UK population but not all.
