Tell me about it! Yes, it did indeed cost me £95 today. The govt. are so short sighted by not offering it to everyone who wants it. I am lucky enough to be able to afford a jab, but many are less fortunate. Article is very interesting, but slightly disappointing, as I was given Pfizer, not Moderna.

Nothing says “America First” like letting another country put an Air Force base in Idaho

Quite. The BBC is a Reform tool not an independent broadcaster!
onelifestand87.bsky.social
It is embarassing not to see the BBC pulling up Reform leaders claiming that Nathan Gill was just some fan who got photos taken with Farage - he was an MEP for them & their leader in Wales while taking cash from Russia to act against the UK! Literally the very basics of your job to point this out

How could you not? What's the matter with the 23%?

The next few months need to resemble the 2017 fight to save the ACA. In the end, we won. Call Congressmembers, confront them at town halls, offices, airports & fundraisers. Hold events so Congressmembers look really bad for being afraid of constituents.
Let's show up. Let's organize. Let's win.

Polanski expertly dismantling the "rich people will move if we tax them" narrative, while Denham nimbly demonstrates how very patriotic such people are.

Former Head of Comms for the IEA, Annabel Denham, says the super rich will leave if we have a wealth tax.

Yes, the very same IEA that brought us Liz Truss’ disastrous mini budget. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Green Party leader Zack Polanski explains that their taxable assets can’t leave. #bbcqt

It does make one question most journalist's motivation, is it financial or the glee of disaster or career motivation? It certainly isn't altruism.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

It was incredible the number of lies told about the Green Party by Reform on Question time this evening.

You voted for Cameron
Everything got worse

You voted for Johnson

You voted for brexit

You voted for Truss

If you vote for Farage

You have no idea how bad your life will become.

If you rename the Department of Defense the Department of War, then bomb fishing boats in the Caribbean, and shoot an unarmed priest in the head with a pepper bullet, you should automatically be barred from receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for the rest of your life.

That should be a headline in itself: “Fiona Bruce says something intelligent and true.”

Here’s a primer on ‘primer.’

It’s pronounced ‘PRIMM-er’ if you mean “a small book” or “a short informative piece of writing.”

It’s pronounced ‘PRY-mer’ if you mean “an initial coat of paint.”

Farage squirms as Rep. Jamie Raskin obliterates the "Putin-loving, free speech imposter, Trump sycophant."

Please share as widely as possible. We need an antidote to media promotion and protection of Farage.

It's bias promotion and must breach their Charter.

The BBC's justification for platforming Farage beyond the actual significance of his small parliamentary party are his polls. A rather cynical explanation, for he wouldn't be where he is without the constant, uncritical appearances he's given on the BBC. It's a (literally) vicious circle.

Looks remarkably like the stores have windows despite Trump's prostestanions they are all boarded up!
