In these uncertain times, it's nice to connect with something that offers certainty. Case in point: Columbo. You know who did it. You know it's going to be solved. You know they'll be certain notes hit ("just one more thing"). It's comforting as well as compelling.

I watched it just after Kristofferson's death (which I can't believe was a year ago!). HDS performance was heartbreaking. Doug Sahm brought some "vibes" to the film for sure. A film I will go back to.
