Those smaller clubs are dormant as far as I know. Would be awesome to have a URC 2 comp, but cost could be a major issue for such small teams.

Ireland - less pro rugby contracts than seats in parliament
France - pro rugby clubs stacked on top of more pro rugby clubs
SA - every pro rugby club on the planet is a South African club

One of my hottest takes is I strongly disagree with the ‘there’s too many games’ argument
Maybe some top internationals are playing too many games and need to managed on an individual basis, but club sides in the URC at least need way more games in my opinion. 11 home games a year is nothing
