I had the misfortune of meeting this guy on multiple occasions in New Orleans.
His demotion is long overdue. He should be fired alongside so many others.

Right! just making sure your claim wasn't that the lack of activist mindset was so universal and widespread.
but rather when it does occur, your explanation of lack of "real school"

Look though at women's sports, notably different because "professional athlete" is so much newer for women vs women.
They've gotten here through advocacy and activism, on and off the court. Especially women of color and queer women.
Women's basketball and soccer for example.

You should make these olive oil chocolate chunk cookies. They’re (accidentally) vegan and (intentionally) delicious!

The EPA is no longer going to consider how many potential lives a pollution regulation would save -- just the costs to industry. This is directly counter to EPA's mission. And it will kill Americans.

Great (depressing) scoop from @maxinejoselow.bsky.social.

It’s Friday, and things are bad.
And the semester starts on Monday.

But, this chocolate babka king cake is fabulous. Made better by sharing with good friends.
These are good things.

It should have long scared us all shitless that agents of the state can kill citizens w/ near-total impunity. It should scare us even more that this power now extends to ICE & other federal officials in our cities.

If there was ever a time for mass mobilization to abolish ICE, it is now.

AOC: What we saw today was a horrific act of violence. What we have seen and are now seeing is that ICE has not just become an anti-immigrant force—it is becoming an anti-civilian, paramilitary organization. People are being taken off the streets for exercising their free speech rights.

The foreign policy of a personalist dictatorship. There are no constraints.
Trump in a single gaggle on Air Force One just threatened:

-- a second strike against Venezuela
-- Cuba
-- Mexico
-- Colombia
-- Iran
-- Greenland (which in turn would be an attack on the EU and Denmark)
