I really want to hear Monica Lewinsky's take on this.

Do you think ICE agents understand that the GOP won't be in charge forever? Eventually we'll know the names and background of every agent wearing a mask today.

In my lifetime, we've gone from, "Should a president who uses his position to coerce sex from a coed step down?" to "Yeah, the vice president shot him in the face, but didn't he kind of deserve it?" to "Sure, the president may have diddled a few kids, but will he lose support?" Pretty spectacular.

Is it selfish to say that I enjoy when people post about finding Nazi and KKK flyers around town because the replies give me a chance to really do some deep cleaning of right wing profiles in my timeline.

I'm kind of comforted by the fact that if there ever was another civil war in the US, the side with all the guns could be immobilized in seconds by painting a picture of a tunnel on the side of a brick wall.

Canada has spent over a decade dumping their right-wing nuts on us. I'm not saying it's a conspiracy, but there's a definite pattern.

If we flew flags at half mast for a week after every mass shooting in the US, we could save a ton of money by only buying half-sized flagpoles.

Everyone blaming the death of Charlie Kirk on the left needs to cool their Jets. There was plenty of room to his right, and he was defending the hiding of the Epstein files.

Let's wait until we know what happened before we have a Civil War over this guy.

Are Canadians going to do this for every single item they buy for the next three and a half years? I'll gladly go back to pretending we don't have maple trees here if they just promise to throw a few of the greatest hits into the mix.
Yesterday we went grocery shopping and although the US berries were cheaper, we bought all Canadian grown at a higher price. We did get our money’s worth as the Canadian berries were beautiful. Sorry not sorry. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Today, the word “Luddite” is used as an insult to anyone resistant to technological innovation. But a recent book argues that Luddism stood not against technology per se but for the rights of workers in the face of automation.

The thing that confuses me is that if ICE was going after criminal gang members, and these dangerous criminals knew they were going to foreign blacksite torture-prisons, then where were all the shootouts? Are we supposed to believe that these hard-cases are all going to the camps peacefully?

Hearing the people who used to bang on about the evils of moral relativism quibble over what is or isn't a genocide is the thread that ties 2025 together.

NPR lost me over their coverage of the Obama years, and it sounds like I haven't missed much. As much as I'd enjoy piling on, I remember when TLC, A&E, and BRAVO were going to show us how corporations would do a better job serving the public that NPR/PBS. Public broadcasting won that one at least.

When public media disappears, so do the stories that bring us together.

With federal funding eliminated, millions may lose their last trusted source of news and connection.

In their defense, most of our senators are over 100 years old.
United Farm Workers President Teresa Romero -

Two years ago, we invited all 100 senators to work in the fields. Only two of them accepted: Alex Padilla and Cory Booker.

Can we shut this down before it gets started? She ran with Liz Cheney at her side against a convicted felon with diminished mental facilities and lost. She's one of the two people on Earth that have demonstrated that they can't win against Trump. Just let it go.

After being called "Groomers" for the last decade by Qanon brained Republicans, this news cycle has a very satisfying Robespierre flavor to it.

Are we about to hit the, "Nobody could have predicted that this would happen!" arc of the news-cycle? It usually takes ten years for her to get here, so that's improvement, I guess
