Midwesterner. Skeptical, particularly of "economic anxiety." Trying to stay open-minded but generally, they are who we thought they were. Michigan fan. Very disrespectful to Beck.

Alright, as one of my bugaboos is "all the economic data looks pretty good! We're on our way" and I'd like to see non-aggregated evidence that this is the case (e.g., big company is hiring 5,000 people) and see how things are going in non-AI, crypto, super-rich space, I'll track here.

They are clearly stealing from Tim Beckman and Illinois (what are the chances both end with "E" is "Energy"?)

But hey, steal from the best.

I swear, if I see another beer bellied farmer spouting how "they just want to sell to markets, they don't want to take money from the government" I will go General Zod on their rural town.

These welfare queens of the plains wanted white people in charge, first and foremost. The end.

Farm bankruptcies are back in the news, so it's time to pull this chart out again.

Hey look they kept rising during Trump's first term. Then they went way down under Biden.

Now they're up again? So weird. Thanks Farm Bureau for the graphic
Screenshot from Farm Bureau article on farm bankruptcies. It shows farm bankruptcies climbing steadily 2014-2020, falling by half in 2021, & continuing to fall through 2023.

It's not even 2%. Not a significant event.

Chart crime.

So this IL Hospital Association memo describes an incident where ICE detained a US citizen, gave them HEART PROBLEMS, took them to a hospital where the fought with medical personnel, then left when they realized they detained a CITIZEN.

Beyond, well, everything -- how many people is this? At least hundreds, if not 1000+ people?

She's going to read the memos of a thousand people, and then meet with each of them individually to come up w an action plan?

LLM by her for sure. What a joke. So I say again...

After what happened at the WaPo, if the basically all the on-air talent & top producers at 60 Minutes don't walk away ASAP (to preferably start their own thing on YouTube, Netflix, whatever), I will be very sad.

This was months in the making. Pelley, Stahl, etc have to be ready to move.

Is there another shot where he is actually pointing at first?

Because from this shot, he looks like he's either point at second base or raising his hand to say, "Throw it here."

Wow, and Trump has done that while dealing with the immediate aftermath effects of worldwide pandemic and maintaining substantial job growth. Impressive!

No compromise in owning a Tesla?

Think who the majority shareholder is, and then try that phrase again.

He has the exact same accent as Kenny Smith, so they can just have a segment where they argue about best Chopped Cheese in the city, who is greater, Earl Monroe or Dave DeBusschere, why Shaq is too fat, and other important topics.

Amyloid again.

I know smart people are working very hard on this, but unlike in some other areas, it feels like with Alzheimer's all we've gotten good at lately is approving drugs that will make billions of dollars, not that they will notably improve patients lives.

A lot of commentators failed basic understanding of what a criminal attorney does -- advocates for his client in a partisan way.

Even in the lawyer's summary, it was noted Lacy passed FOUR cars in a no-passing zone. That was the "good" version.

ESPN Legal needs to have a talk w the fellas.

A 239 foot home run -- really got a hold of that one.

If Pat McAfee can spend millions on college bros kicking 25 yard FGs, he can find $1 million to have Bill as a Monday & Friday college football analyst for his show, along with him doing film breakdowns or whatever.

He's not a failure, he's just selectively successful.

He should be commended for actually being able to get someone to pay money for tickets to a Tar Heel football game.
robpollard45.bsky.social
Well…not a total failure. But pretty close.

Alright, I’m back. Kerry Carpenter (the best hitter on the team) don’t fail us now.

What a boring Tigers game. A bunch a .240 / .250 hitters waving at pitches.

Moving on unless they somehow make it close. #mlb #tigers

I assume along with zombie Parade, zombie Newsweek, zombie LIFE, and a few other "they still publish...?" titles have hit the airport news stands with Redford retrospectives recently?
