Midwesterner. Skeptical, particularly of "economic anxiety." Trying to stay open-minded but generally, they are who we thought they were. Michigan fan. Dems need to reckon w fact Trump won 48% of Latino voters.
Very disrespectful to Beck.

Alright, as one of my bugaboos is "all the economic data looks pretty good! We're on our way" and I'd like to see non-aggregated evidence that this is the case (e.g., big company is hiring 5,000 people) and see how things are going in non-AI, crypto, super-rich space, I'll track here.

I've said this before, but "america was always fascist" is simply not an effective messaging strategy for fighting an american fascist movement. you should not cede them control of the national identity! that's what they want!
People who say this are clearly speaking aspirationally about a shared American creed they hold dear. “Have you heard of the Trail of Tears?” is not a very helpful response, because they probably have and the priority right now is moral opposition to fascism and not fake-educating each other.
I fear my tipping point into madness is "Thus is un-American" posts in response to ICE terrorizing immigrants. I beg you to open Wikipedia (I would say a book but let's start small) and read up on The Trail of Tears, Fugitive Slave Catchers, Japanese internment, Indian Boarding schools & Jim Crow

It is not normal for a president to be pushing for a net -80 policy. That Trump apparently does not care about the public opinion on Greenland (or maybe he doesn't know about the polls) is a sign of how far we have drifted from normal democratic government

AOC: The president has been acting in increasingly erratic ways. It is really damning when we think about the degree to which media outlets reported on Joe Biden, yet we are seeing behavior from Trump that is alarming and everyone is pretending this is normal.

This is currently the most shared story for @nytimes.com and on the one hand, good. It has on the ground detail of ICE flagrantly abusing the rights of a US citizen, clearly in part bc of his skin color.

However, from the start, it frames things poorly (IMHO).

THE WOMAN WHO WAS DRAGGED OUT OF HER CAR AND ARRESTED BY ICE SPEAKS OUT…

We’ve all seen the videos, but it matters to hear Aliya Rahman say it herself.

📌 She says her treatment in custody was dehumanizing, and that officers completely failed to take her disability seriously.

Trump's foreign policy is about one thing: enriching his family & uber rich friends. Look closely & you'll find someone cashing in.

In Venezuela, it was hedge fund owners and oil interests.

With Greenland, it’s billionaires like Trump-donor Ron Lauder, pushing this land grab.

This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.

Better luck next year Bears.

I mean, that's impossible -- you had a golden horseshoe up your ass all year & you're playing a first-place schedule, so you won't be making the playoffs, but you get the idea.

Is there some big brain reason the Rams are throwing the ball as twice as much as running it? Especially in this weather? And don’t the Bears kinda suck against the run?

Heck of a time to finally go conservative.

What a disaster of a half for Stroud and DeMeco Ryans.

A shell shock QB and a coach who believes he has no options.

Davis Mills is an average backup, so truly a last resort, but CJ Stroud is putting up an all-time worse playoff half. Horrible play needs consequences.

CJ Stroud doing it all -- throwing wounded ducks, throwing jump balls, taking too long in the pocket, accidentally hurting his offensive lineman.
