In the Horrible Bag series, Zenith Maelstrom must rescue his sister Apogee from GrahBhag, the bizarre world inside the bag. He encounters a gargoyle who dines on earwax, an eight-foot-tall living rag doll with a deadly definition of friendship, and many other creepy creatures.
The three book covers of the series - The Horrible Bag of Terrible Things, The Twisted Tower of Endless Torment, and The Cursed Cloak of the Wretched Wraith.

"Having the freedom to read and the freedom to choose is one of the best gifts my parents ever gave me." - Judy Blume

Quote from Judy Blume reads "Having the freedom to read and the freedom to choose is one of the best gifts my parents ever gave me." An illustration shows a young girl reading a book on a green bean bag. The cover of the book says "I love to read." Art is by Debbie Ridpath Ohi, based on a character from The Pain and The Great One.

Digby Flopwell napping on the cool smooth base of his favorite lamp. He loves Lamp Buddy.

Digby inevitably finds the hardest surface to lay on or smash his face into whenever he's looking to relax.

Looking forward to discussing the final book in The Horrible Bag series with Rayna tomorrow. Super proud of this story and the whole spooky, funny, and (dare I say) heartwarming trilogy. I hope you'll drop by the livestream.

This is Eeyore. He led a sheriff's deputy to his grandma after she fell during their walk. We are awarding him the incredibly rare 15/10 (FB: OkaloosaSheriff)

It takes 6-9 months to complete each episode. (Or it did back then.) The summer of 2003 was the earliest we could have a bunch done for our premiere.

Still riding high from my incredible launch last night. The best part - that nearly made me cry - a kid came - asked amazing questions - & when I signed his book, his mom said, "He's so happy to have someone to write horror for him."
And let me tell you, that is WHY I DO IT

IT'S TIME IT'S TIME!!! Ok, you don't actually need it to be October for spooky reads, but it doesn't hurt! Time for scary books and horror movies, hot cider and the crunch of falling leaves. Cozy blankets and ghosts and ghouls. Let's do this!

Untrue. We only started making the show in the summer of 2002. There were no episodes done till 2003. No basis for this theory.

It’s October and the scent of Halloween is growing stronger. But there’s something else causing a stink. A delightful hilarious new pictures book from @danpoblocki.bsky.social Follow your nose to the local bookstore to pick it up!

The Skirball Museum in Los Angeles had that same exhibit. It was wonderful.

It’s his baby photo. Got it from the people we adopted him from. Unfortunately we did not know him in this adorable size.

Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay from September 23, 1906. One of his most impressive & famous pages.
This Sunday color strip consists of five vertical panels of a very detailed drawing of an elephant as he gets larger in each one. In each, he gets closer and closer to Nemo & the Princess.
