One of the more curious aspects of modern higher education is administrators hiring consultants to do the tasks their faculty are teaching students to do.

And then pay the consultants twice as much as they pay the faculty.

This product is pretty good, not ragging on it specifically...

But how is it possible that you can have the scientific wherewithal to make these products...but can't figure out how to make it dissolve in hot water?

It's a mystery.

Baseball is interesting sociologically.

Most players are conservative, and I suspect many of the white players are Christian Nationalist MAGA supporters.

Yet, they must navigate an international environment where progressive ideas of multiculturalism and tolerance are necessary.

When we get out the other side of this, we should think seriously about making signs like this permanent, like the plaques in Paris that tell you that you're standing on the exact spot where a resistance fighter was shot down by the Nazis in 1944.

I think a lot of Trump supporters do regret their decision to support him.

But at this point, the logic for them may be that too many people have seem them in public wearing the brownshirts so...just dig in and hope for the best 🤷‍♂️

Happy to see this for two reasons.

I have a love for older, grizzled athletes who keep walking once more into the breach. There is something heroic about it.

Also he is an #ODU man.

I don't want you to be exceedingly reasonable, Chuck. I want you to stop these motherfuckers from putting babies in jail, just for a start. Find a backbone or RESIGN and let someone better have the job.
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

The fact that the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie's mother is the most covered story of February 2026 in the United States is absolutely to god infuriating. The media will take literally any excuse to ignore fascism and abuse of power.

Yes to the “ICE Out of Our Faces Act”
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have descended into utter lawlessness, most recently in Minnesota. The violence is shocking. So are the intrusions on

Of course the crushing of protest is a sign of a healthy totalitarian state.

Well it's that month. And it's time for my yearly listen.

It seems I get around to listening to this story of the Civil Rights Movement at least once a year - may as well do it during #BlackHistoryMonth.

It's a heavy listen, but worth it for me.

I have a saying...from deep in my sociologist's bones:

Groups are not unique, only the conditions they navigate.

Who *couldn't* have predicted this? The only question I had was in what direction the censorship goes.
