Mystery of the #Toronto Subway Deer appears to be solved.

An 11,300-year old specimen unearthed at Islington Station, with horizontal antlers, has excellent name Torontoceros hypogaeus ("horned Toronto deer from the underground").

Now we know it's not a caribou...

“Do not spit from ride. Remain seated.” warns a sign at one end of the SkyRide, an overhead chairlift that runs from one end of the main fairground to the other. People stroll around below with the midway in the distance.

Food stands from roasted corn to deep fried cheese curds. The main ferris wheel towers beyond.

“Chunks o Chicken” and “Curly’s Fries”, people silhouetted by the afternoon sun that flares the end of the frame, SkyRide overhead.
