Announcement on a Sunday, not a great sign?

Very disappointing. Can you dilute the problem with a little dihydrogen oxide?

#Arctic air temperature rank by month over the satellite era - now updated through September 2025...

+ Ranks: 1=warmest (red), 46/47=coldest (blue)
+ Download higher resolution version: zacklabe.com/arctic-tempe...
Heat map-style graphic showing monthly air temperature rankings in the Arctic at the 925 hPa level for each month from January 1979 to September 2025. There is a long-term warming trend evident in each month. Blue shading is shown for colder months, and red shading is shown for warmer months. Does indeed seem sudden and (at least from my point of view) unexpected.

they are destroying US climate science on purpose, and it hurts my heart. but take it from an MIT-trained nerdass:

all most of us need to know is that we have to stop burning stuff

stop burning stuff for heat

stop burning stuff for make car go

stop burning stuff for power

we have the tools

Several of these are a stones throw from primary and intermediate schools too.

Sooooo safe for our kiddies to have rat-runners hooning through at 50km.

NEW: China's president Xi Jinping unexpectedly joins the UN climate summit, by video, to offer his nation's 2035 climate pledge

* Cut GHGs to 7-10% below peak by 2035, "striving to do better"
* Raise non-fossil share of energy to at least 30%
* Boost wind/solar to 3,600GW

So basically, no-one thinks it's Tylenol.

According to this at ArsTechnica, many anti-vaccine groups are peeved at Kennedy Jr. for not linking autism to vaccines, e.g. –

"We didn’t wait 20 years for Bobby to finally speak and then get served Tylenol as an answer,"

(Tylenol isn’t likely to be an answer either!)
Anti-vaccine groups melt down over RFK Jr. linking autism to Tylenol
“THIS WAS NOT CAUSED BY TYLENOL” Kennedy’s anti-vaccine group retweeted.

If so, there’s still time for some pre-bunking.

Australia’s new emissions target of 62% to 70% reduction by 2035 is a big step up on the previous goal of 43% by 2030.

While a lot of Aussies hoped for a bigger number, this is MUCH more ambitious than New Zealand’s 2035 target of 51% to 55% reduction.

I had some thoughts about people saying that "debate me bro" trolling is somehow the height of democratic discourse.

I just need to check with my learned artificial friend to see whether I agree with you or not.

Oh noooo

But given how this is the rare case when it’s caught, and where people are checking, I’m just increasingly assuming most stuff is just stuffed with hallucinations.

Australia's climate risk assessment was completed back in 2024, but only released today.

It projects by 2050:
🌊 1.5m Australians at risk from sea level rise
🚨 Deaths from heatwaves up 4x in Sydney, 3x in Sydney
🌱 Massive losses to biodiversity.

Which shows just how sneaky they are.
