(Pro tip: don't leave any on the spoon while you're taking photos. You'll need industrial tools and a pressurized steam cleaner to remove it 😋)

Fdm type printers are great for larger pieces but printing in this way leaves visible layer lines on the models which will need to be sanded down or filled over before painting.

Software: Blender (steep learning curve) & Sculptris (more intuitive) both are free.
Sculptris is the free version of Z-brush which is very powerful and fairly expensive.

Printers: For smaller figures probably best to go with resin printers. They reproduce finer details and overall cleaner prints -
