Saying this was considered so beyond-the-pale overtly racist it made Enoch Powell a pariah in the woke cancel culture of 1960s Britain.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do
Have I got this correct?

The right win (perhaps with fewer votes) and it’s a mandate.

The left win and it’s not a mandate unless it’s a landslide victory

65% of white Britons say they ARE well represented in advertising.

So why lead with the far smaller figure?
27% of white Britons say they don't feel well represented in advertising in terms of their race, with Reform MP Sarah Pochin causing a row on the subject

White Britons
Well represented: 65%
Not well represented: 27%

Ethnic minority Britons
Well: 42%
Not well: 51%

A woman is killed by a man every 3 days in the UK...

78% are murdered by a partner/ex

Yet not once have I heard Reform talk about this

Not once have I heard them back measures to protect women’s safety

In fact, they voted against them...

Erm.... I'm sure she had lovely things to say as she collected the award!

I'm not going to spend my time at Spectator ceremonies collecting awards.

We're busy taking the fight to Reform.

'Leader of the Year' was Zack Polanski. His award was obviously collected by..... Julia Hartley-Brewer.

Have a good day.

3 things Starmer could do instead of camps in old barracks that would actually WORK👇

1. Create safe, regulated routes to apply for asylum in the UK

2. Let asylum seekers WORK & support themselves

3. Fast track status for people from obviously unsafe countries

Keir Starmer tries to look tough - and exposes himself as a coward
The government's immigration policy is in desperate need of a bold change in direction.

Left: Kwasi-I-crashed-the-economy-Kwarteng criticising Labour for paying Hadush Kebatu £500 to leave

Right: That time Kwasi Kwarteng's government was paying £3,000 to volunteers to go to Rwanda

Whatever you think of Labour's policies, know that the Conservatives were so much worse
Short answer: never
Long answer: fucking never

Gorbals, 1948, and Bert Hardy has his lens trained on these young lads turning the old Gorbals Burying Ground into an unlikely playground.

This, from the leader of the opposition, seems like a pretty clear case of contempt of court to me

"I hope your beeper doesn't go off."

A year ago today, a racist tried to make a 'joke' about me being killed by Israel. It was the 1st time I've ever walked off of live TV. That night CNN said they'd ban the racist from their air. But in the year since, I myself haven't been invited back on CNN.
Absolutely insane moment on CNN
I’m impressed you’ve made it to 21 tbh

Went back to Prunella Scales's contribution to Barkworth's "About Acting" today. Not just because it is immensely funny and charming, but for the most unfussy, practical, and profound description of a proper acting process ever captured in print.

Huge condolences to Sam and her family and friends.
Was not my intent to come across as pushing, and apologise if it did. Was not questioning the intent (I agree with the general premise and concern conveyed), just the choice of language
Those are all gender neutral terms. I’m not trying to censor, but given her history, I felt it was inappropriate.
Perhaps not offensive, but I’ve never heard it used in a way that wasn’t derogatory and always towards women:

Poor cow
Silly cow
Stupid cow
You cow
Probably right, but did you have to call her a ‘cow’?
