Quick intro: Living in STL, originally from ORD. Proudly wasting my poli sci degree away. Recently jumped into Epic Healthcare support. I can talk some music, some photography, some sports (STL City and Battlehawks 🔼 Cardinals 🔽) & probably too much about breweries like Side Project. #introduction
Confession time: how many folks tuned into NBC at 6:30 PM Central Time just to hear “Roundball Rock,” then changed the channel once the announcers started talking? 🙋🏻‍♂️
It’s 1984. I live in Elmhurst, IL. “Let The Music Play” wakes me on my radio.
It’s 1993. I live in Mt. Vernon, IA. “Let The Music Play” wakes me on my radio.
It’s 2004. I live in Chicago. “Let The Music Play” wakes me on my radio.
It’s 2025. I live in St. Louis. “Let The Music Play” wakes…
Yesterday was the most likely first anniversary of my mother's passing. Officially, her death was on October 24, but I know she died earlier. Based on what I discovered last year, the 15th was her likeliest date of death.
With KDHX dead, I’ve been looking for a new alarm clock. I believe I found it.
🫵🏾 Put that work in.
I may also have to set this as my alarm. Damn.
If you have any other winery recommendations or avoidances, feel free to share! We will be staying close to Zin Valle Vineyards in Canutillo, TX, though there are a few others close by on the TX/NM border.
From what I read, LR is one of the vineyards that sources grapes for Gruet. That winery was on my list for that reason alone.
That’s the snobbery I want to hear, tbh! In MO, lots of wines tend to run sweet, so I’m always on the hunt for something that’s dry. Vinegary wines aren’t it, so thanks for the tip. Is the winery in question Lescombes or Luna Rossa?
Springs, we’ll have some great hiking trails.

Our plan on this trip will be to spend half in EP and see that corner of TX, along with some parts of southern NM. The other half will be in ABQ to meet folks there and in Santa Fe. 2/2
Thank you! I just have Mesilla written in general, so more details about specifics helps. We also have wineries on our list, as there are a few in LC and EP (though allegedly, really good wineries are near Deming).

Our EP hotel is near Franklin Mountain SP, so between that and Dripping 1/n
I will not rest until Microsoft Bob is our one true OS.
@beaucoupkevin.com So Laura and I will be staying in El Paso from November 14-18. Would you have any tips for interesting things to see in Las Cruces or El Paso? Besides, of course, seeing the filming locations of “Manos, The Hands Of Fate,” which we’re planning to do anyway?
It's been over 30 years, and I'm still not prepared to wake up to the chorus from "Mr. Wendal."

It’s October 1, and I’m back. Did I miss anything?
I need to take a break from the firehose, so after 11 PM Central time tonight, I’ll sign out until October. If we don’t touch base before I go, be well. Otherwise, be seeing you.

Thanks for the birthday wishes over the weekend. Gordie is enjoying his new goose home, and being 54 has been alright so far.
