I ran down the hill to see the ice which looked perfectly still from up high, but was gently heaving on unseen waves as if breathing. Truly mesmerizing… and the reflection on frosted glass-like ice? Stunning. A sword of light coming up from the sun seemed to blaze even hotter. Utterly magnificent.
A fiery sunrise with orange, pink, and blue reflected on thin ice and broken at the horizon by a tree-topped breakwater. A ray of light points up into the sky from the sun, orange through the pink. It’s cold but looks hot with the intense colours.

Grazing horses in the mist.

My work gloves, and a stick on the winter grass.
My work gloves, one back up stretched out like an open hand over a short, grey stick that is forked on one end, to the left. The other glove is palm side up under the open fingered glove, palm covering is black. Bright green around the wrists and back of glove is burgundy with orange and burgundy stripes around the wrist covering until the bright green edge, denoting the size. Background dried winter grass with intermittent green.
