This little girl has been pinned to my Twitter page since passing almost 4 years ago, so it's only fitting that she's my first post here. Her name was Peyton, and she was my intrepid companion for 14 years. I miss her every day.
At what point (now would be great) do sane people in positions of authority stand up and say:
“We’re not going to keep doing this dance with him. He’s insane, and irrelevant politically. Enough is enough.”
It doesn’t have to be like this. None of us would tolerate this anywhere else in our lives.

Trump's mechanism to pay the troops during the shutdown is by far the most illegal budgetary action he's taken as POTUS, potentially setting the stage to break everything.
It's also needless because Congress would easily pass a troop pay bill if Johnson were willing to gavel in.
