by contrast, current versions of adra still absolutely prefer not to fight if they don't have to, but they're much more willing to throw down when it's necessary.

blood elf adra was rude and aggressive BUT they were also extremely committed to pacifism (an ideology that earned them NO END of shit in the World of Warcraft game, as you can imagine). they engaged in a genuine fight only once over the course of a year+ of RP (& it was to save their wife)

of course it also helped the blood elf adra was an extremely unpleasant person most of the time LMAO ; self-righteous, cantankerous, abrasive, profane, really intense. i specifically wanted to write their younger iteration in XIV (which, given their tenderness and anxiety, also compounded issues)

including how adra met, got close to, and eventually married their wife. it was not 100 pct smooth sailing (RP never is) but i think it headed off a lot of stuff that comes of shipping bc adra simply was not available for that from the outset

reminscing ab WoW RP (which, understand, i was last involved in 10+ years ago) & how i actually saved myself so much headache bc i entered the public scene with adra already married. me and a couple friends wrote out a bunch of personal storylines together before we ever RP'd publicly,
