For my business class, I need to embroider some hats. Please provide the crispiest memes you'd like to see on a hat.

12 I like most are getting made for real (and then will be auctioned for charity after the class is over).

Text and simple images please.

Whenever you give people impunity and tell them any resistance is a crime, you're going to get imposters trying to take advantage of a "do crimes for free" loophole.

It happens online too. We often see people impersonate police in order to get unquestioned access to people's private online data.

Hey all! It's nearing the end of January, and I'm still seeking full time employment. I've been trying to keep up with embroidery, and unfortunately its both way slower than I can keep up with, and simply not sustainable as a main source of income. Still chugging along with comms, but I need work.

Yeah, I recommend not using the patreon apple app to join. Just go on the website, it's 1. cheaper for YOU to support your favorite creatures and 2. All the money you give goes to the creator.
I'm begging you not to use apple products. This shit is devastating to creators like me

The worst part is so many of my friends are naturally hard of hearing. It's not uncommon to be HoH, you don't need to be deaf to want subtitles.

The worst part about this whole situation is companies are abandoning disabled people as a front and this is a immediate first sign.

Every single artist that posts on BlueSky should have this saved to their computer because so many of you are posting character torsos all day.

This is some of the dumbest text I've ever seen on a card and I absolutely love it. Magic needs to be dumber.

Seance of Blake Manor is real freaking good yall. If you like Obra Dinn or Golden Idol and don’t mind doing a LOT more reading I recommend. A lot has VA, but not all of it.

The AI evangelists want us all to conveniently forget that they were all telling us we had to buy bored apes or we would be left out of the Economy Of The Future four years ago.

I feel like people need a reminder that "feeling bad" and doom scrolling are not activism or even remotely helpful. You feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed with fear isn't actually doing shit to tackle systemic issues but your brain & some particularly cruel people WILL try and convince you it is.

AI is often sold as perfect solutions to the "problem" of having to create captions and transcripts. That framing, of course, centers creators and producers over the people who actually rely upon the captions and transcripts. But there is no replacement for humans when making content accessible.
AI captions do not conform to #WCAG they usually require a lot of work to make them usable

The highest-risk areas for real harm are: (1) named entities/numbers, (2) multi-speaker attribution, (3) timing/readability, and (4) hallucinated “corrections.”

My house flooded today. Thankfully it seems like the damage to anything terribly important is minor (my guitar case is toast but the guitar is thankfully completely dry for ex), but I have a lot of cleaning to do. I’m more worried about water seeping into my wood furniture. Good vibes plz.

im going to be so nice when i say this but please, dont use those weird special fonts. aside form it being bad for screen readers it can also just be bad for people w dyslexia or me, a person who struggles w reading because some fonts just seem completely incoherent visually.

LRP - those "special fonts" aren't actually fonts, y'all. They're Unicode characters for things like mathematical symbols, which is why screenreaders don't treat them like text and they get read out as a garbled mess (on top of being hard to read for many sighted people too).

Knock it the fuck off.

Saw a lot of headlines saying "wikipedia is embracing ai" being tossed around tabloids, and I'm pretty sure they were maliciously written to make you feel a certain way about Wikipedia. What's actually happening is that wikipedia is demanding payment for data scraping and the corpos don't like that.
Sure. AI companies have ALWAYS been training their models on Wikipedia content, which under the free and open access model is available to anyone — including AI companies. Agreements like these require AI companies to limit and offset the strain they place on Wikimedia infrastructure.
