If your House Rep is GOP, today would be an awesome day to send them an email or call their office and ask why they aren’t working and yet getting paid. It’s not about the shutdown. It’s about the Epstein files. So ask them when they plan to vote, and how, on releasing those files.
Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 95th day out of the last 107.

12 days of work in 107 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

President Dumbass literally has no idea how this works.
Trump’s pardon attorney Ed Martin claims Trump is pardoning his Georgia co-defendants and other “alternate electors.”

Note: Trump’s Georgia co-defendants are charged under state law. The president can’t pardon people for state crimes.

This. This is why I just can’t love the party.
Been angry about the Dems since the 90s, and this is just the latest reason why.
It was harder getting endorsements for Zohran Mamdani from Democrats than them caving to Republicans to mutually strip us of healthcare

BREAKING

President Trump has granted a pardon to a slew of Trump world figures, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and Sidney Powell, for their efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

This is literally treated as radical, outside-the-bounds of normal political discourse.

But Elon Musk gets $1,000,000,000,000.

Enough to by every unhoused person in America a $1.3 million home.

Enough to cover federal spending on school lunches for 57 years.
I just want everyone to have the experience of living in dignity with access to sufficient food, safe housing, needed medical care, high quality education, and time to engage with what sparks their curiosity and spirit

this should not be controversial 🫠

Schumer & Jeffries should have the integrity to resign from their positions in leadership. They've failed, badly. Either they cannot control their caucuses or they're lying & secretly pushed this vote through behind the scenes.

Either way, their betrayal of the American people is indefensible.

It’s fucking mind boggling.
The politics of the shutdown:
*GOP had a strong opening position
*Undercut themselves with the RIFs and unnecessary cuts to blue states/SNAP
*Polls showed GOP getting most of the blame, no reason to assume that would change
*Dem centrists then folded on their key issue of ACA subsidies

This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

A leader would not have lost eight colleagues tonight. This happened because you let it happen or because you’ve totally lost control of the caucus in one of the most important moments since you’ve been Democratic leader. Either way, it’s on you. You need to step down. We need someone who can lead.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

How the hell is cutting SNAP benefits a positive move for the fuckin’ Nazi in the White House? I really don’t get it. Is it because he knows he won’t suffer politically? It bogles my mind. It’s almost like he’s only doing this to prevent releasing the Epstein files. Why else distract w this?

This is the correct framing. Anyone bitching about canceled flights needs to hear this a zillion times: “Yeah, it’s crazy how Trump did this just to avoid releasing the Epstein files.”
I understand why we shut down American airspace for a few days after 9-11 to avoid a repeat attack but imagine shutting down American airspace to avoid releasing the Epstein files.

I’m not an expert on negotiations, so I’m not clear why the Dems would scale back their demands in order to get their votes. Seems to me, there’s no need for that until public support begins to crumble. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/07/u...
