Fabulous thread that demonstrates, so clearly, how limited and erroneous, Tony Abbott's history is.

poor old Tony Abbott is on the public broadcaster dismissing the oldest and longest continuous oral histories in the history of humanity as “hearsay” how’s your morning going.

Wow, I wonder why the dizziness was so bad. I hope you can move a bit now.

I'm enjoying listening to an owl. They don't come around here often.

This is the man the BBC elevated & is refusing to investigate despite @carolecadwalla.bsky.social l & @bylinetimes.bsky.social
having done all the work for them .
Do we have a precedent for a this ? A national broadcaster ignoring possible treason , isn’t that in itself sort of treasonous 🥴 ?

Seems @Nigel_Farage is trying damage limitation on the Reform Russian Bribes scandal.

He’s known Nathan Gill for 20 years, and claims he knew nothing.

No one believes you, Nigel.

Keep the story moving. Questions must be answered.

This is an old narcissist who has lived a life centered around power, image, and control. He is facing his own mortality. This is not remorse. This is circling around guilt without actually reaching it and, desperately, pronouncing his own damnation before anyone else can.

Trump: "I don't think there's anything that's gonna get me in heaven. I think I'm not maybe heaven bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One. I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to make heaven."

Maybe just mute him and move on.

Can't stop a troll from being confidently wrong.

Women have to deal with so much shit from men. Cis men. Only a rabid transphobe would pretend the problem is people transitioning.

As a man, I'm tired of arrogant, ignorant bigots like you making us look bad

Yes, your question was worded perfectly!

Only if they are forced to. I can dream, anyway

I don't disagree. Hopefully ending carbon polluter subsidies would make the economic case for reforestation clearer

Regime gives next government permission to radically revise climate targets and finally make farmers pay their way, like everybody else does.

They've chosen to end bipartisanship on this issue. The next government will have no reason to take a compromise approach again. Make polluters pay, 100%, without delay. And farmers better plan ahead for it, not fritter away any short term profits from Luxon's irresponsibility.

Today is a reminder that the next government will need to start its term with an Omnibus Repeal Bill, to revert all National's bullshit to the status quo ante pre 2023.

And if Labour won't commit to that, you should vote for parties who will.

Seems pretty likely to me, if by "end up plummeting" you mean within several months. I think exceeding the escape velocity by 10% in the right direction should be enough.

Presumably depends which side of Deimos they jumped off from...

If you live near Pittenweem, Pittenweem Library is having a PUMPKIN RAFFLE! The winner gets their very own pumpkin carved by me, with an image of their choice.

Today's pumpkin share is the scene last year's winner chose.

#PumpkinCarving
A photograph of a pumpkin carving with a black cat on the left, creepy trees and bats in the sky, and a church with a a graveyard and a creepy figure in the door. Yes, actions speak louder than words. And Wikipedia can be a minefield.

From what I've seen so far, though, they seem to be doing good work
