That was quite a deal!

The spiders haven't been doing their job - biting you but ignoring the moths

Oh, that's shit :(

Such lovely colours! 😍

Good choice! But I'm biased :)

Bringing a dog to NZ can be quite a process, unfortunately

Bringing pets into New Zealand
You can bring your pet here, but they must meet specific health standards. These change, depending on the country your pet is coming from.

Very cool!

I hope you can get a photo! I just looked them up. They're very striking, especially the fangs/chelicerae.

Twice in two days does seem unlucky! I hope the leg one continues to settle down. 🤞

They are certainly trying to, yes, for infectious diseases. Along with blaming pain control during pregnancy for autism. All anyone needs to worry about is diet and exercise, apparently. The fads and fashions of fascism.

It's some strange kind of systemic selective inattention. There's still a remnant public health system, it's woken up from dozing lately when measles is about - although I don't think masks were ever mentioned, just exposure locations and vaccination.

Yes, maybe this is just them being forced to acknowledge it (due to a shortage of beds), but then doing everything they can to minimise it.

Tbh all the news articles I've seen are locked behind paywalls, so I don't know much more than what's in the headlines

True. I guess any action surprises me now, even if it's just publicly acknowledging an outbreak.
December 29, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Only thing that seemed odd (sadly) to me was them testing people and taking the outbreak seriously.

Exactly. When you mock his adult diapers, he won't see it. Who will? People you know who wear them, or are considering wearing them. Maybe some of your friends, maybe your parents or grandparents. How do you think that will make them feel?

The quote in my last post is from the article I linked earlier, by experts in domestic abuse, law,& medical ethics at the University of Strathclyde:

Published in Scottish Legal News, not The Catholic Herald.

But I'm sure you'll find some reason to discount that too.

'The former Attorney General of Victoria, Australia, has characterised the system of review in his State as ‘hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’. This is a common pattern in other jurisdictions.'

I've described how the review gives serious grounds for concern when you read between the lines.

I doubt I will convince you, true, but only because your mind seems closed on this issue. These reviews are written by true believers with vested interests in the state-assisted suicide business, so of course they sound positive on the surface.
