Just a quick reminder:

Friends don't let friends misquote Roy Batty's soliloquy. It's "Tears in rain" and not "Tears in the rain."

Thank you for my Ted Talk.

A new 4K version was released last year. Definitely worth the purchase.

I'd watch this film!
Had a weird dream where I worked on a follow-up to the 2011 Rutger Hauer classic 'Hobo with a Shotgun'.

It was never in doubt for me. Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner was always my Revised Best Supporting Actor pick.

Saddened to hear of the passing of the great Diane Keaton. Diane and Rutger starred together in “Amelia Earhart: The Final Flight” (1994). Diane played Amelia and Rutger played her co-pilot. 🎬 🎥

Great! I think the uncut version is superior as it gives a bit more weight to the narrative. The cut "Blood of Heroes" ends on a happy note, but no real closure on Rutger's character.
The new 4K release of “Salute” has a stunning widescreen picture, but the sound is not the best as the dialogue is buried in the mix especially when background music is playing. Still worth it for the picture alone.
Fun, underrated movie! To clear up any confusion, the cut version was released as “Blood of Heroes” (mostly in the United States),while the extended version was released as “Salute of the Jugger” in the rest of the world.
One of my favourite Rutger Hauer films is #TheSaluteOfTheJugger. I watched it last night, & saw - for the first time - the cut that doesn't immediately go to credits after the final game. I've always been interested in what happens in the last five minutes of the film, & it does change things 1/2
Don't forget Christopher Lloyd, who took over Xehanort after Rutger passed away.

On this day in movie history:
Eureka (1983)

Cast: Gene Hackman, Theresa Russell, Rutger Hauer, Jane Lapotaire, Ed Lauter, Joe Pesci, Helena Kallianiotes, Cavan Kendall, Corin Redgrave, Joe Spinell, Mickey Rourke. #Historical
I don't know. He passed on Robocop, so maybe Troopcop would also be a pass?
Rutger Hauer in “Blade Runner,” too!
That's a good question. I'm not sure. I know the budget was somewhere around $7 million, so if Rutger did take a salary it wasn't incredibly large for that budget.

Monique van de Ven and Rutger Hauer in TURKISH DELIGHT (1973), a film by Paul Verhoeven.
It’s a must see for literally anyone! Rutger at his most Rutgerest!
Movie #39 Split Second (1992)
A detective in a flooded city hunts a serial killer who may not be human.

Another film I put off for too long. Really enjoyed this. Campy & silly, but can't go wrong with Rutger Hauer chewing every scene.
Hey, gamers! Did you know Rutger Hauer narrated a trailer for "No Man's Sky?" It's a partial homage to Roy Batty's dying soliloquy and fits nicely over examples of the gameplay. 🎬 📽️ #filmsky #actorsky #gamesky #gamingsky #nomanssky #rutgerhauer
