I was going to get tickets for Scarbados, and for scissor sisters there too. Don’t need to now!

Fab isn’t it? We’re so excited for the line-up this year!
November 24, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Well, I think it’s fair to say we’re chuffed with this line up!

It’ll be my first time, I’ve done a lot of work with Guernsey and with international schools, but never Jersey!

This week I’m leading training for heads and leaders on best practice in EYFS and building an effective curriculum. I’ll be leading training for practitioners on developing children’s self- regulation and executive function.
November 23, 2025 at 9:31 AM
Preparing for the week ahead, I’m excited to be leading the first 3 of 7 training sessions this year in Jersey focussing on “Getting it right from the start” . I fly tomorrow morning!

The exceptionalism, the arrogance, in that core 4-6 week period was unreal.

Rest in peace to all our colleagues, our friends, who died during that period. I will never forget you.

Having Johnson & Cummings in Downing Street when Covid struck was, just like Brexit, an entirely avoidable disaster caused largely by utterly appalling journalism. And now exactly the same clowns, arses & bigots with bylines are rolling out the red carpet for Farage.

BREAKING: The UK’s response to Covid was “too little, too late”, a damning official report on the handling of the pandemic has concluded, saying the introduction of a lockdown even a week earlier than happened could have saved more than 20,000 lives.

😭 gosh. This is a terrible statistic, never let us forget how bad the Tories were.
Bringing in lockdown a week earlier on 16 March would have meant 23,000 fewer deaths in England in the first wave, modelling suggests. This would have equated to 48% fewer deaths in the first wave.

I’m wondering if I should publish it !

It’s not unusual for me to be walking around on the Wirral, London, Sheffield, Leicester or Kent and to bump into someone I work with. It’s a privilege to do this job.

It could be a lonely life, being a consultant on the road, but I’m lucky to have lots of colleagues all over the country with whom I’ve worked for several years, so I feel like I’m part of lots of different teams!

I've been leading lots training on the development of early writing over the last few years, and I've recently developed this toolkit for delegates. I'm also leading a year long LA Early Years writing project across the Wirral. It’s been a pleasure so far!

We’re at the top of the hill so I don’t worry about my house being flooded, others are far less fortunate. I’m hoping the roads will all be open again today.
November 16, 2025 at 8:59 AM
Storm defences near my house have done their job. I know my MP has worked tirelessly to make things happen to minimise flood damage. We’re all grateful.

They’ve been evacuated but it looks like water levels will subside later today. I feel for her, she hasn’t been back home long after her house needed complete refurbishment, which took 18 months after storm Babet.

My friend is currently moving all her furniture upstairs. Fingers crossed it stops raining.
